Specialist Contact Officers can play an important role in providing information about Agency policy and procedures for resolving situations where an individual perceives that they are being treated without courtesy or respect or with harassment in the workplace. 
  
Workshop Content:
· the role of the contact officer
· the nature of harassment and bullying
· processes and options for resolving complaints, in line with Agency processes and the law
· structuring an interview to respond to employee enquiries
· sources of support for employees, including employee assistance programs and external review bodies 

Target Audience: 

Persons selected to undertake the role of Harassment Contact Officer, and human resource practitioners new to the APS.

Some pre-reading will be required before the workshop.
